JUGILA – winter sports camp
For over 100 years, the Swiss Youth Hostels have been committed to making holiday experiences accessible to everyone. This commitment was also evident in February 2025, when an inclusive winter sports camp was conducted in Interlaken for the second time. Around 50 children took part, including 11 children with disabilities. Thanks to the support of KulturLegi Switzerland and PluSport, it was possible to select children who would otherwise have little access to such experiences. The camp week focused on joint snow sports experiences, active inclusion and light-hearted fun. The snow sports camp gave children who otherwise have limited access to such activities an eventful and memorable week of holiday. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all partners who once again supported and made this project possible.

Mariastein Youth Hostel
Since the 1930s, the castle has towered over the Leimental valley as the Rotberg Youth Castle. It is an integral part of the region’s tourist offer. It is also an integral part of the curriculum of countless school classes, who acquire and experience their knowledge of the Middle Ages through a real building. The Board of Trustees of the Rotberg Youth Castle Foundation is committed to the preservation of this unique castle. Improvements to safety and comfort are now being carried out in two construction phases. The renovation includes the careful refurbishment of the rooms and the staging of Ernst Schläpfer’s collection of weapons in a cinematic style. The first phase has been completed and is already accessible to guests. The second phase will follow during the winter break of 2025/2026.
