In 2020, the Swiss Youth Hostels received a COVID-19 credit in the amount of CHF 500,000 and a COVID-19 loan in the amount of CHF 5,000,000. Neither will be taken into account as outside capital for calculating the over-indebtedness according to Art. 725 Paragraph 2 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR). The economic equity capital as at 31 December 2020 was CHF 2,190,761.
